UPHOLSTERY FAQ

How much is reupholstery?

The cost of reupholstering depends on your project. There is no set price as reupholstery is a custom service and your price depends on many factors, like: your choice of fabric, if there are repairs that need to be done, if the foundation of your piece needs work and so on. It's best to reach out to us with detailed pictures and measurements, to get an estimate at 831-372-0521. We can also come by and take a look.

How is price estimate given?

The cost of your project is priced as "LABOR + FABRIC ". The labor cost is an estimate and may change depending on your piece, e.g upon tearing down your chair we discover additional services are needed . 


The cost of fabric is set price per yard + shipping charge. The cost of fabric is due in full.

Additional services?

Upon inspection of your item, if any additional services are required, we will contact you in order for you to approve/refuse any additional charges that may occur.

Where can I buy upholstery fabric?

We have a wide selection of upholstery fabrics for you to choose from. We highly encourage purchasing your upholstery fabric from us. Your upholsterer is able to track the dye lots, inspect the fabric for any flaws and address them if needed, if any performance issue is to arise, the upholsterer is able to directly communicate with the supplier, to address any warranty claims. 


COM (Customer's Own Material) is allowed with approval from the upholsterer and is subject to COM fee.

COM is subject to COM fee/cutting fee. 
All warranties are void when using COM. 

Do you offer pickup/delivery?

Pickup and delivery services are available for additional fee. 

Storage of your completed project?

We ask you pick up (or arrange pickup) of your project within 3 days of completion. Items left at the shop for longer than 3 days will be charged $20 per day storage fee. Items that are not picked up within 30 days of the completion will be considered abandoned and will become the property of the upholstery shop and therefore will be disposed of or sold to recover any unpaid fees. 

How long will it take?

The time to complete your project depends on several factors, including but not limited to: 
Delivery of the fabric. 

Current wait time.  
Modifications/changes made to original order. 
Scope of your project. 

We serve our clients on "first come, first serve" basis. 
Delivery / Completion time is not guaranteed. 

Can I save money if I tear down my own chair/couch?

No. In order to accurately reupholster your piece, we require the old covers to be present. If you remove the old covers, you will incur additional patterning fees, in order to complete the project. 

Insurance estimates

We will gladly provide you with an insurance estimate for your claims. There is a $100 fee in order to produce it for you. If you proceed with your project, the fee will be deducted from your total labor charge. 

Payment?

50% retainer is due upon booking your job. 
Remaining balance is due upon completion, before pickup or delivery. 

We accept all major credit and debit cards, check and cash. 

Refunds, returns?

The retainer of your project is non refundable. If you decide to cancel your project you are not entitled to any refunds. Upon cancelling you are entitled to your fabric, that should be picked up within 5 days of cancellation. 


If you do not pick up your fabric, it shall be considered abandoned within 5 days of the date of the cancellation.
